Frequently asked questions

Can anyone join your class? Yes, our classes are open to everyone. Whether you’re new to yoga or have practiced before. We love teaching beginners and more advanced students. The most important thing is to work with your own body. We only ask if you have a medical condition that you ask your Dr. for advice before joining a class.

What do I need to bring? A yoga mat – you can borrow one for your first class and then optionally purchase one from YogaEnergy. We have great studio quality mats that will last and support your feet / movement (good grip). Wear comfy clothes – leggings, well-fitted jogging trousers or shorts. Bring water to refresh.

Do I need to have done yoga before? We welcome beginners or students with some experience. It takes a few classes to understand the basic postures and language. Then it gets more familiar and comfortable. You can try a class, or a few classes, and decide if you enjoy the practice. If you’re not sure, contact YogaEnergy to ask a question.

What kind of yoga do you teach? We teach Vinyassa Flow Yoga with an iyengar twist – we move through postures to develop awareness of our bodies and our breathing.

How much do you charge? Regular classes range from £8.00 – 10.00 per class depending on location and group size. You can pay for a single class or a block of classes.

Can I bring a friend? Yes, the more the merrier – please contact YogaEnergy to let us know when you plan to join a class.

Can guys come? Yes! Men and women both benefit from yoga. Boys and girls. Young and elderly. We also welcome children, accompanied by an adult. Teenagers please come along – it’s great for exam time, end of term…

Do you do private 1:1 classes? Yes, if you’d like to start with a private class, or a small class with a partner or friend, send us an email to find out more.
